My Fave Picks from Art Interiors Festival of Smalls Part 1.

Art Interiors Festival of Smalls is now in full swing. It's Thanksgiving week in The U.S. and Black Friday sales are happening (in Canada also) so I thought I'd share just a few of my favorites from the Festival. 

Seriously there are so many wonderful pieces of art on offer, it was very hard to pick favorites. I'll definitely have to do another post or two. My Etsy Faves

November came in with a high wind warning here and the trees are now almost empty of their leaves. The ground is covered with a nice blanket of reds and yellows and there's definitely a crisp chill to the air. All evidence of Halloween is out of store windows and overnight, twinkling lights and red and green decorations have appeared. This November, I'm celebrating all things handmade with my Etsy favorites and will be sharing 5 of them (in no particular order) every Monday. I try to buy handmade as often as I can as I believe it's very important to support local artists and artisans and with online shopping nothing could be easier. Enjoy.

The next few weeks will be a whirlwind here in my studio. With so many things on the go I find myself in a daze at moments. I'll be delivering new works to a few galleries, including small works for the upcoming holiday season. I'll also be updating RedBanana's Shop on Etsy (my online shop) with new affordable art. Romancing the Stone was inspired by a trip to San Fransisco years ago. I pulled out the many slides I took and remembered how I loved (and still find great inspiration) in gargoyles and architecture. This will be one of many new paintings available. Stay tuned to my blog as I'll be letting you know here when the sale starts. And you know you'll always hear me say "original art makes a great gift!!"

A Virtual Gallery Show Opening

Beautiful Nature, Albina McPhail and Rita Vindedzis opens September 1 and runs until September 30 at artstream. I posted about my first show with the gallery here and wanted to share the official postcard for the show with you. This is my first show in a U.S. gallery (thanks Susan!) and my first on line show ever. To say I'm excited is an understatement. Please join us for this wonderful event!
