The Journey Home.

30x30 Acrylic on canvas

I've always enjoyed watching Canada Geese fly overhead. We would travel quite a bit between Montreal and Toronto and in the fall I'd see them heading south. Hundreds of them at a time in beautiful V formation. In the spring as the days got longer and the temperature warmed, they would fly back. Hundreds of them in V formation. The journey home for me, from a vacation is somewhat bittersweet. It's great to get back home, after all 'there's no place like home' but it's also the end of time away spent on adventure and relaxing.
